Former Saints Goalie Abigail Levy
student-athlete signs national letter of intent to attend Minnesota State University...Congratulations Abbey!
Mankato, Minn. - Minnesota State women's hockey coach John Harrington has announced that Abbey Levy has signed a national letter of intent to attend Minnesota State University.
Abbey, a Congers, N.Y., native, is in her third season as a goaltender for Shattuck-St. Mary's U19 team, where she has helped the Sabres to a 101-14-9 record and two national championships (2015-16, 2016-17) in her first two seasons. In addition, she won a New York State Hockey Championship as a freshman. Levy was a member of World Select Teams (West Coast Selects) that claimed a gold medal in Helsinki, Finland in 2014 and a silver medal in Bolzano, Italy in 2015. A multi-sport athlete, Levy has also lettered in basketball, softball and volleyball. She was recruited out of high school for both basketball and hockey.
Coach Harrington on Levy: "Abbey is very athletic goaltender, who covers a lot of net, and has developed a style that takes advantage of her size in goal. A State Hockey Champion in New York as a freshman, and a USA Hockey National Champion at Shattuck-St. Mary's at the U16 and U19 levels during her sophomore and junior years, respectively, Abbey understands what it takes to be successful on the ice."
